Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

As a Registered BAS agent we are required to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

CPD enhances our knowledge and allows us to remain up to date with legislative, technical and professional accounting standards relevant to the BAS services we provide.

Registered BAS agents with the Tax Practitioners Board must complete 45 hours of CPD over a 3 year period, with a minimum of 5 hours each year.

Exact BAS and Bookkeeping holds a Public Practicing Certificate with the Institute of Public Accountants and with our membership we are required to complete 120 hours of CPD over a 3 year period, with a minimum of 20 hours each year.

The types of CPD we do are:

Seminars/Webinars

Workshops

Courses and Lectures

Conferences and Discussion Groups

Tertiary courses provided by Universities

Registered Training or other Registered Higher Education Approved Course’s

The importance of continuing professional development should not be underestimated.

It is a career-long obligation for us practising professionals. It is a personal responsibility of ours to keep our knowledge and skills current so that we can deliver a high quality of service that safeguards and meets the expectations of our clients and the requirements of their business.
